I have all of my original manuals and jewel cases, but most of my boxes were destroyed. I miss them but damn are those cardboards getting expensive. How hard would it be to reproduce them?

Why? so that they are destroyed again? 😜

The only thing I can think off the top of my head - find a place that produces cardboard boxes in any given shape, size and will print any picture, then provide them with the specs and high quality scans of the originals.

It depends on the type, if you are after the flimsier boxes that open from the top and bottom, then (provided you are willing to fold and glue them yourself) they are not that expensive or difficult to source.

If you are going for the thick cardboard boxes with covers that slip off, that'd presumably be expensive. I have a similar problem with a lot of my AD&D box sets..

It would be very expensive, since most are embossed with reliefs of the text/imagery. If you were just to use photo cardstock without embossing, it would be wayyyy cheaper -- but then you wouldn't get the right texture and sheen.

Good point.. I have no concept of the equipment required to do such accurate reproductions but you would obviously need to source original boxes as templates since boxart scans don't show texture/embossing and then that defeats the purpose.

Most european boxes didn't use any fancy embossing.
