Did I match best of both worlds 😀 .. To me it looks I have...
I built several machines before. But none did this wide spread thing with games so well as the one I assembled recently. I can play anything from the early 90s to early 2000s (my favorite game period) without any problem. And if there were issues I found a patch or workaround... sooner or later.
The specs:
The Housing
Fractal Design Focus G Mini
Inside:
CHAINTECH 6VIA5T
INTEL PENTIUM III-S (TUALATIN 1,4GHZ)
512MB RAM
ASUS V8460 ULTRA (GeForce 4 Ti 4600)
CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER 16 (CT1740)
TRANSCEND SSD 120GB (with Sata to IDE Adapter)
LG DVD WRITER
CSL USB Floppy Drive
GOTEK FLOPPY EMULATOR
CORSAIR PSU 450 WATTS
DRESSED IN ALL BLACK! 😀
The Monitor:
HP LP2065
Input Devices:
IBM KEYBOARD
MICROSOFT OPTICAL WHEEL MOUSE
At the moment I am running a dual system MS DOS 6.22/WINDOWS 98 SE.
All I can say is: it is great! I have never had so less problems before. And I was able to solve every problem I encountered.
Almost forgot to mention. Beside this nice machine I am running an Intel NUC as Midi Emulator... And what more to say: I love the sound!
Pictures will follow after cleaning up my workspace... 😀
