Huh. I have a copy of Lotus Notes that came with my ThinkPad 380D system bundle from the North East and I got it installed on the laptop after running the Windows 95 installation (recovery CD + boot floppy).

Is collecting software even a thing here anymore? Anyway, yesterday I received a copy of Works 95 which brings me closer to completing the Office/Windows 95 themed group of software. Plus!, ISK, Money, Access and Powerpoint 95 still missing but no hurry on my side.

I miss Works in general; Works for Windows 2.0 and 3.0 were my high school darlings, I typed up so many essays and assignments on that suite..

I still pick up stuff every now and again Mainly concentrate on on older Operating Systems/GUIs though. In particular pre 2000s era stuff. After that things got boring.

I grab old applications when I find a deal, but there are not that many around on ebay or other places these days like there used to be.

I collect old OSes and software when the price is right, especially if boxed. Not very easy to come by anymore though, most of the stuff anyway.

I pretty much only collect old development tools now. Still a couple things I'd like to pick up, so yeah, still collecting.

Yeah agreed. I think the most modern "old" software I got was a boxed copy of Windows 2000 Professional. Basically I just stick to DOS/Win3.1/Win9x era stuff.

Having a bit of a tidy up and found these. Absolutely no idea where they came from.

Some times relatives or friends leave stuff because they know I'm in to older kit. Never owned a Win 7 box in my life.

That Watcom C/C++ 10.0 box looks delicious... 😀

I received a copy of Lotus Magellan 2.0 today. Found it online and was able to haggle the price down even further where it was just a steal for me...

I picked up a sealed copy of Everquest Macintosh Edition just to have in memory of the old Al Kabor server back in PowerPC days. I know there is an emulated Al Kabor server, and I play on that, but the devs there say that after close examination of how the PowerPC client interacts with the expected login and world servers, that PowerPC compatibility is not something they are willing to take on. I hope someone in the EQEmu community would be willing to tackle this because there are a lot of fans of PowerPC Macs out there that keep them running despite no new software releases for many years. Having a place like the Everquest server to hang out and game with other PPC Mac users would help bring the community closer together.

Setting yourself up with all the productivity tools, eh? I would love to see someone retro-ify their business with all of this stuff. 😜
