I did exactly, what the how to stated: I installed VDMS, then I started the installe.exe on the carmagedoon cd with it. The game installed and runs fine in software. I downloaded an executed the 3DFX patch exe then I installed GLIDOS. When I want to start carmageddon with it, it tells my it can not find c:\intrplay\carma\camav.exe
Exept from the fact, that standard installation would have put carmagedoon in c:\cama not in c:\intrplay\carma the executeble (at least on my system ist called carmag.exe not carmav.exe.
So ich copied the game to the desired location, renamed the exe, an could finally start carmagedoon through glidos....but without ANY grafic acceleration effect.
Any ideas?

Yes. Obviously there are different versions about. My version installs to intrplay\carma. Strange.

Anyway the thing to do is reinstall, and let your version put its stuff where it wants. Then edit the file C:\Program Files\Glidos\glidos.ini. You will see in there the path where Glidos expects to find the exe, and you can change it to match your installation.

Also, tthe 3dfx patch should have installed a second carma exe, carma3dfx.exe, or something like that. Update the path in glidos.ini to match that.
