Anyone know where to get Ultra DMA IDC connectors from one of the reputable brands? (E.g., 3M, Sullins, Hirose, etc.)

I've got my stock of 34p, 40p, and 50p connectors, 50-conductor ribbon cable, and can find the 80-conductor cable with the right pitch, but I'm having no luck finding the 40p/80c connectors through Digikey.

CablesOnline on Ebay is selling 2-packs of each color (Black, Blue, Gray) for $9 each... ouch. Dunno if those are any good, but they're definitely not cheap.

The right pitch ? All of the UDMA IDE cables I have (mostly were included in Asus, Asrock, GigaByte, etc) are all the same with ends being mostly in-line with cable and the mid connector at 90 degrees.
What pitch are you talking about ?

Noticed those do not have any cable strain relief where the actual cables do: http://www.cablesonline.com/1880pinuldma.html

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Pitch is a measurement between conductors on the ribbon cable. 80-conductor cable is 0.025" / 0.64mm pitch -- twice as dense as 40-conductor cable, at 0.05" / 1.27mm pitch, or twice the density of the pins on a header, at 0.1" / 2.54mm pitch.

Huh, yeah, thanks for pointing that out -- it might actually be, depending on what they charge for shipping.

pitch can refer to either, it is a general term to refer to the alignment of things
