I know it's irrational, but I definitely feel this way with the Dreamcast and Saturn optical drive emulators. There's a text file you edit to define how long to delay for the whole "disc cover is open" ... "disc cover is closed again" routine, and it's set just long enough that multi-disc software can register the events have happened. But, who actually completely swaps discs in 250ms? Sooner or later, the console's going to figure out something's up....
