I am considering building an ATX PC to replace a vast majority of my retro systems with. I know that this is in practice impossible to achieve but I will try to end up with something with as wide a range of coverage as I can make happen.
For this purpose I decided on a Voodoo 3 AGP as the video card. I want to build an AMD PC around it. Here are the options:
1. Slot A KX133 Athlon 800 ISA for DOS sound but is Pluto 800 fast enough? Cool build.
2. Socket A KT133 Duron 1300 ISA for DOS sound, fairly fast CPU, boring build (feels like a Socket 370 Tualatin)
3. Socket A KT333 AthlonXP 2500+ Very fast CPU, no ISA but SB supports DDMA/TDMA (YMF744, Solo-1, AZF3328, FM801), USB2.0
I really cant pick one 😒 Help me decide?
