can't get sound and joystick to work in wing commander armada, be gentle, I am not as proficient as you all in the arts of computer programming. joy is a wingman extreme by logitech and IS recognized by dosbox. as far as sound, I'm just running speakers off the board of a 1.4 gig P3. I'm used to other emulators and do not know how to change options in dosbox, (yes I saw README)...

Not sure about the problem, but to change settings you have to open dosbox.conf in a text editor such as notepad.

It doesn't seem to be a settings problem as dosbox is able to tell me exactly which kind of joystick I have, besides, I can't really figure the config out anyway, it looks like it is set at a 2 axis joy as a default, I changed it to 4, because that is what I have, but it didnt work (frankly, this stuff all confuses me antway!). Is it possible the joystick is too new for the games? It won't work with any of my games (although the games themselves work great!!!!)

P.S. sound works now, and if it matters, I am running windows XP.
also, i am using 0.65, I have tried vdms sound 2.0.4 and I have 255 mb sdram, I think.
