It is in this space. Conventional wisdom has been to use a single ASIC as with Netburst dual, Core 2 quad, and IBM Power MCMs. Intel's MCMs were homogenous VLSI (aside from cache on slot). Zen MCM is more akin to Intel's hub architecture on a single ceramic package. You'd probably have to look at IBM's z/Arch stuff to find similar chip on module with different dies for specific functionality.
