I'm thinking of building a system next year that will have three OSes on the boot drive: Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10.

I'd like to get whole drive encryption working, either BitLocker or TrueCrypt. Is this possible? Has anyone here done something similar?

ETA: update on this. I eventually gave up on the idea of having all three OSes on the same drive. Instead I installed a removable drive bay for the boot drive and put each OS on a different disk.

Is this too much voodoo?

I've never done it but would think its fine 7 and 10 support encryption and XP had plenty of 3rd party support.
it would work somewhat like drive overlay as long as the software can load itself to unlock the drive then the OS wont really worry about the rest. I'd expect the best luck is the ones that do the authentication check pre OS
