I would vote for a flat black/gray theme with no dithering as well...or flat whatever colors with no dithering if possible.

Oh no! That definitely looks not good and I apologise to your eyes. I’ve put this on my to-do list to improve.

Was mentioned in the other thread, but just in case.

Remove the scroll effect when jumping to a different location in the page (e.g., via link to end of thread, after making a new post, while doing a search for words in the page etc). It is really distracting, hard on the eyes, probably heavy on system resources, and serves no useful purpose.

Are the not-aligned "Z" lines that create multiple boxes everywhere intended? I guess they are since they are everywhere, but it looks so weird to me that I thought to ask

also next to topics with more than 1 page the page numbers are missing... for example you search for new posts and you get the "I got this retro hardware today" thread because someone posted there. There are no page buttons anymore on the search, you click the thread and takes you to the 1st page of the topic then you need to click on the last page to get the new posts

don't click on a text but on a wheel left to it

Not a bug but the big elephant in the room style issue:

The disconnected lines are highly disorienting.

A related problem: the offset dotted lines behind the zigzagging solid lines.

I get that it's a 90's style thing, but I don't think that's necessary to exude a 90's aura. Can we just have normal boxes? It makes everything look like there are border bugs in the CSS.

I fixed it already 😀

The dithering causes flicker even on the new theme. It's not a problem that's unique to the "Old Skool" theme.

Please replace all instances of the dithering pattern with solid colors.

emotion icons are barely visible even with large font. You need to zoom in a lot to see them.
And no text when i place mouse cursor over them.
I can open a quote windows to check what the icon is though 😉
i can also disable them in settings.

Also there is no choice of them when posting a message. I guess a collapsing one could be OK if you don't want them there.

I think this has been mentioned already by identifying read / un-read threads is a challenge - more contrast b/w them would be great.
