I tried to get Blood working with Glidos.
After
"Initializing weapon animations"
there is a line
"src/weapon.cpp(513): Could not load QAV 118"

Then the command prompt disappears.
I honestly have no idea what this means.

Me neither. That's a problem with Blood rather than Glidos. Best try deleting it all and reinstalling. My wild guess would be that it was a version mismatch between Blood and the 3dfx patch.
