ok i need some help....and im not sure if i am posting this in the right place or not....if i have i apologize and you can move it.....anyway...
I downloaded DOSBox v0.63 for one reason. i saw that it supported wolfenstien 3d. i am aware of a newer version but i saw that you supported it on 0.63.
The Problem: I know very little about how dos works as i first got into computers when the wonderful Windows OS came into popularity. and since i know very little i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Where do i download games compatible to dos box. i clicked the titles listed in the games section but there was only a few reviews...no where to download.
once i have the game how do i get it to run. i followed the pictorial guide down to the T. when i went to change directories, the "oldgames" folder could not be found. i typed it in exactly as i had created it. it was apparently unable to change to that directory.
if anyone can help me...it would be appreciated. i have been trying to find a way to play Wolfenstien 3d for the past year. I have tried a standalone file to install on my computer. However, when i click the .exe file to install it the following message pops up
16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
"C:\oldgames\WOLF3D~1\INSTALL.EXE"
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM3AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."
If anyone has any advice on that it would also help. Thanks.
