Hello Vogons,
LOOOONNG time reader, first time poster. This site has helped me more times than I can count.
Quick backstory, like many I was searching for the PC of my youth. The Tandy MMPC Model 20, my first computer and I finally got one. (It's not a Sensation, but what I had as a kid and was a machine I owe my life and career to today) I quickly went to work, cleaning it up, upgrading the 486 etc, getting the Tandy MMS-10 I had with it growing up and everything has been great. Just orderedan Awe64 for it. But there's a card in here that I remember having as a kid that I'm completely baffled with today. It's listed as a CEI Media-V Revision 6 and my Google-Fu is coming up with squat about it. I've looked up the chips and the largest chip on the board, a CHIPS F82C9001, I can only find on the Creative Video Blaster so I'm guessing this is just an old school Framegrabber but again, it's just a guess. I can't really plug it in and get it working because I remember there being a dongle that went from the mobo VGA on the back into the L7B PS/2 port on the back of the card and your monitor would plug into this card. I know this dongle was needed instantly because the VGA pin 7 is filled on the mobo VGA port and I remember having to rip that pin from a VGA plug when I was what...9? Back in the day. Anyways, I figured if anyone could tell me anything about this card it would be Vogons so here I am. Some pics below.
