My Commodore RGB monitor does not work anymore. I have been looking for a replacement but its all very expensive. Then an idea came to mind. I have 2 old but functional applecolor RGB monitors. I know you cannot just use a standard vga monitor (at least not without using a middle piece of hardware) but is it easier to go from such a monitor to a 9pin connection on for example a Amiga500 or is it "just as hard"?

Which AppleColor RGB monitor? If it's the one from the IIgs then it's 15kHz and should work on an Amiga with a correctly wired adapter. None of the Mac monitors will do 15kHz.
