I listened to quite a bit of Ghost and Soen over the weekend due to recommendations, I can't say I walked away liking either.

I also discovered Dark Funeral actually released an album in the last couple of years (Where Shadows Forever Reign) and it's quite possibly their best album to date? There's quite a bit of Black Metal comeback lately. *horns*

Funny, I don't have time to listen to music much anymore, but back in my teens through my thirties, I was a huge Rush fan, and upon the news of Neil Peart's death, I started getting random Rush songs stuck in my head. There's a youtuber that does bass covers of mostly Rush songs, and his tribute to Mr. Peart probably got the ball rolling:

I picked up Chrono Trigger again, as I still haven't completed it (I refuse to use walkthroughs), and love the soundtrack. I also love the Chrono Trigger Mixtape by Compromised (2005), which is available on YouTube. If you don't know about it and you like hip hop then check it out!

Lately I've been finding great joy in just letting Foobar randomly pick the tunes. Last six:

Pointer Sisters - Slow Hand
Destiny's Child - Emotion
Beatles - Rocky Raccoon
Shaggy - It Wasn't Me
Deniece Williams - Let's Hear It For The Boy
Justin Hines - April On The Ground

I'm listening to the Descent II soundtrack. Just picked up the game, so what better excuse. And it's pretty fun. It's wacky prog-metal, like this track

It's prime for some Master Boot Record treatment.

Edit: Oh. And ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop by Scatman, too.
