So.. I hope I'm not doing the mother of all necroposting, but thanks to the Abandonia friends I found out still working links of the aforementioned Application Compatibility Toolkit patch.
You can find it here or here.

They are slightly different (as noted back in the day, it's still not clear what every single one of the fixes are needed for), but they should do the work.

Never play Mortal Kombat on WinXp, I never ever think that there is a game a like that. I play on windows of course, but this was just a gems games from nintendo.

Splitting threads just makes people finding the old one on google remain clueless.
.. I don't see the intrinsic problem with necroing if I'm actually completing the original discussion (rather than just "monkey asking for help").
