I am tryibg to get a few games running on my commodore pc 10-2 which has a hercules monitor. Nothing seems to work. At best I get sound but no picture. I tried downloading a few games marked"Hercules" but still no succes. Added a screenshot of the monitor. Anyobe knows of anything that should run? Even zork1 is not working..

That's a beautiful machine!

I have been struggling with the same problems. There just aren't that many Hercules-compatible games. There are more options when you use CGA emulation (SimCGA is one piece of software that does this) on Hercules, but that doesn't always work.

Try these threads on Vogons for some more information:

Try a Taiwanese fighting game called Mie/Destroyer from 1989. Not the greatest game, but interesting in that the only graphics mode it supports is Hercules and is also CPU speed sensitive to the point it's only playable on an 8088/8086 machine.

What Hercules card does it have?

Assuming it still has the orginial graphics card installed.. AGA card, perhaps ?

That would be my informed guess, as well.

Planet-Dune, are you sure it's not an ATi Graphics Solution (a.k.a. Commodore PC10/PC20 Advanced Graphics Adapter) configured in CGA emulation mode?

How about you don't have a graphic card but, just a Monochrome Display Adapter ?
You can play games but in ascii. You could try the first Wizardry as an example.
I can't find pictures of what it looked like ... But it was pretty playable, I spent countless hours on it !
