I've just installed a Lo-Tech 8-bit IDE adapter in my 640K Tandy 1000HX and have a 4GB Transcend CF card attached with approved adapter, cable. My goal is to setup multiple 32MB partitions.
I used Wipedisk to blank the card and, using FDISK, I got a primary DOS partition created and formatted. (DOS thinks the drive has 128 heads and 8 cylinders, making up the max partition size (which I chose - told it to create max size) which is 32MB in DOS 3.3 -- my C: partition). The system boots into DOS 3.3 on that C: drive.
I then went to create an extended DOS partition for other partitions in FDISK but after I choose to create an extended DOS partition it shows the partition info and then the screen locks -- key beeps after a few taps. This happens over and over. Is there a different way to create extended partitions other than FDISK? Ideas to get around this hurdle?
Thanks.
