Yay, I managed to crash it 😜

System: Toshiba Libretto 30 CTK
http://www3.toshiba.co.jp/pc/catalog/oldpc/li … /lib30/spec.htm

EDIT: it's the 29/3/20 build

Thanks for the feedback. Can you please try to disable the "Check Keyboard Controller and Super IO" option in Setup menu if that will help?

Yes, that helps. Still can't generate a report, I don't think it saves the config?

Let me know if I can try more.

You will need to also hit the "Save setting to disk" item, that should save them into INI file.
Let me know if that will finally allow to create full report.

Yeah, got it now. Don't know what I did wrong before, it just wouldn't work.

Hey, glad you got back to this! I was frustrated as I never managed to run the old latest build, it would always crash. The latest one from this thread runs fine, so that's already a huge improvement 😀
It first complained about EMM386 as I had it loaded, but it worked fine nonetheless.

Couple issues I see:
- My DX33 is detected as 23.8 MHz..during POST it is definitely showing 33MHz.
- My Aztech Labs NX Pro is detected as a "MediaVision Jazz-8"

Report attached. Let me know if there's anything I could do to help.

Cheers

Can you please try to open the main window a few times to see if the clock is always reported as 23.8 or it does perhaps change between runs ?
I will check how to detect that sound card, but it's not easy without having the required programmer documentation.

I did, it very steadily reports 23.8, never seen anything else!

Please try this build what clock will be shown now. It might also identify the Aztech card properly.
[removed as newer build available]

Is the CPU really running at 33 MHz? Perhaps the Turbo button off? 😉
Or maybe something messing with the system timers (some drivers used) ?

Btw Mumak is there any interest for me to try and run it on my other computer in Win98 real-mode DOS or not really?

Sure, I'm interested in any reports.. The DOS version won't run from Win98 DOS box, you'd have to start it from DOS upon boot. From Win98 I'd recommend to use native HWiNFO32.

Doh...silly me. The computer is currently on my testbench and the turbo connector wasn't plugged. So indeed, looks like my non-turbo speed is 23.8. Is that expected? I kinda expected to be slower than that...

Yep figured as much, I'm already using HWiNFO32 under Win98 and loving it 😀
Here's the real-dos mode report attached.

Thanks 😀 That's a quite new machine for a DOS tool, yet HWiNFO managed everything right 😀

Hey, just thought about something. In my 486 build I have two cards that went undetected. Not sure you want, or even can detect them but just thought I'd mention it:

- ISA 3 voice tandy card from matze79
- ISA MPU 401 card from Keropi (basically a MusicQuest PC MIDI clone)

Let me know if I can help!

Thanks for your offer. Unfortunately such cards (like any other non-PnP ISA card) require dedicated code for access/detection. This is not possible to implement without programming documentation, some sample code or reverse-engineering binary tools that are able to detect the device. If anyone is aware of such resources, please let me know and I will have a look at that...

Hi

I just tested HWinfo on my PC, and it worked fine. All I noticed was:

- Did not detect the NIC card at all (3Com 3C509B ISA)
- Detected the soundcard as an ESS688. It is an ESS1688F.

Would that log be interesting?
