Local guy has an old Compaq P4 tower for $15, has bad/missing HD but otherwise works/boots. Includes original keyboard and ms mouse. Told em I was interested so will go meet somewhere later today.
EDIT: Not a Compaq, actually not a bad little machine. Will post specs later after I clean it up a bit...
So it was advertised as a late 90's Compaq for $15. Ended up being an Enlight case, 300watt psu (w/good +3.3 / +5v combined !), an Intel D865PCD AGP board w/2.93 P4 & 512Mb ddr, GV-R7064T AGP card, PCI modem, one 16x CDrom, one BenQ 1650 DVDrom. (The 16x cdrom has a door open issue, bad belt probably). Everything dated 2004. Only needs an HD and need to match up a front slot cover (or put the bad rom back in). Well am actually glad it was not Compaq since they had all the original driver/software cd's including the one for the motherboard.
Edit: the more more I play with it the better I like it. Makes a great early 2000's gaming computer for BF1942, Heroes, etc
Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor.
