Radeon 8500 was my first ATI card and to this day it is one of my most beloved GPUs of all time, right up there with Voodoo 3 and GeForce2.

this is funny for me to watch, because at some point I basically traded my MX 460 for a 9100 (8500LE rebrand), the main idea was to get pixel shader for the games that were coming out, and the 9100 was better with AA and AF options.

but yes, the 460 was pretty fast in the DX7 games of the time, specially at 800x600 which I think was still often using.
often 8500LEs could be OCed to the 8500 clocks or further (on the core at least, it was my case), the 460 was near the limit of NV17

I know the 8500le I snagged will hit 305/310 for core/mem and it's the 128mb model. Real beast of a card
