I'm not sure if a software Equalizer would work in 9x. But does anyone know of an app like peter's equalizer for 9x?

With WDM drivers, there's a special filter driver class that could do this stuff but if there's any such thing available for 98SE or ME I don't know. Some Realtek drivers did have an EQ built in their drivers and some Creative cards can do it too.

Well that is good news.

true, but they were rather lack luster.
If you take a look at my peter's EQ setting you can see that driver level EQ's would fall way short of what I want.

I may just have to make some sort of embedded device to run peter's EQ and pass the audio along. kinda of like an external hardware EQ would be used.
