listing/item number on our favourite 'you-know-where' site... 🙂

Granted, this is the 909 version (but only difference is the slightly larger MB size), and there are conflicting stories about whether these can be mixed with 908's, but better than nothing perhaps ?

PS: and here's a card that uses only MD909's:

Aaand... finally, an example card that mixes BOTH types/memory sizes !

Sure, this is the ET6100 card, but looks promising though....

I have a very similar card thanks to Liqmat, and I have a very similar 909 chip on my ePay watch list.

I might just have an excuse to get 2 chips now...

Unfortunately my ‘you-know-where’ sites don’t return a hit searching for that number (maybe location dependent) but thanks a lot for the information about mixing the 908 and 909 types. Searching for these do show some results... probably going to try.

That was weird... but perhaps your location theory is correct.

Try changing the .com part to whatever country code perhaps (not all will work, but some)...?
co.uk
de
fr
it
es

...etc (assuming you live in Europe)

Worst case, just write www.XXXX.com/itm/274047495303 .... 😁
(replace the X'es of course, with those other dearly beloved 4 letters !)

Not all eBay items show up on all eBay locations.

Today I've got my Pentium MMX 200 MHz.

People said that a better FPU has mayor impact on the performace of my Matrox M3D (PowerVR II).
Want to benchmark it against my IDT WinChip W2A 200 MHz under Windows 95 - any suggesttions for reasonable benchmark setup = software/tools/games?

Building my own PCs since 1991 - for my retro builds it's "no CF-disks, no Floppy emulators, no modern cases etc.", only the real and authentic stuff whenever possible.

Sure, but since I'm in Europe as well, I figured there should be no problem with this particular item...

Just tested all the countries above, and all work/search fine, so this might be more an issue of the 'ship-to' location that is chosen ?

If I get zero hits I usually then change that setting to either USA or some other 'large' location(or local seller country), and then it suddenly pops up... Really annoying though, and took me years to figure out why the randomly advertised items on other listings vanished when I tried to search for them or click on the pictured link....

Some not-so-interesting items arrived today... tested, works fine. Motherboards along with original cables and brackets...
I'm not quite sure about the bracket on the Diamond card - doesn't seem original to me, yet somehow I doubt anybody was replacing anything in the machine it came with...

That is an interesting bracket on that card.

There is a small dautherboard that fits on the card and outputs svideo. the manufacturer just decided to use 1 bracket to save warehouse space.

Oh, and I also just bought this beast: https://www.ebay.com/itm/293572398610

Definitely Unreal. I had one of those cards back when it was new together with a Pentium II 266MHz and the game ran great (in my memory at least).
Ultimate Race Pro also ran OK, but slower than the original demo that only had 1 track. I remember Quake 2 being a bit on the slow side but still playable.

I'm pretty sure that bracket is original. I received a Diamond video card similar to that that a few days ago that has a bracket like that on it.

Ah... yes that explains it 😀 I didn't thought about that.

Although performance wise I don't think that there is anything faster than ARK1000 based cards when it comes to 2D only PCI cards (ie. Hercules Stingray Pro)...

As suggested by HanJammer I just bought an Hercules Stingray 64 with an ARK2000PV (shouldn’t be slower than the ARK1000, should it?)

Removable IDE drives that connect via USB?

What sorcery is this?

I did not notice that detail!

They were plugged into this:

Certainly not USB 😜
