I recently got an Amiga 2500 with the intention of replacing my 5170 under my desk with a machine that could be a PC/AT, Mac, and Amiga in a single form factor. I'm having difficulty getting the A2286 to work with PC hardware though.
I've tried 3 different VGA boards and they all do the same thing, once I've disabled the internal Mono/CGA output of the bridgeboard all I get is a flashing cursor in the upper left. The board never really boots, I don't hear a floppy seek and dont see any bios info. It works fine when using the CGA/Mono built into the Bridgeboard itself but obviously this is no solution for what I'm looking to accomplish.
Does anyone have any experience with this, I've tried all sorts of Janus versions though not all, but I'm starting to wonder if the bios on the bridgeboard is somehow corrupted or something. I also tried an XTIDE card, and an SB1350b and it wont boot with the XTIDE card, it will boot with the SB1350b but when I run the Test-SBC program it cant find the hardware.
Can anyone think of anything else to try? IS there some sort of jumper on the A2000 motherboard itself that could prevent the bridgeboard from properly seeing the ISA expansion cards? I'm starting to get to the point where I suspect the board.
Thanks.
