I have succesfully managed to get 'Constructor' to work using DosBox .65. Everything works as it should, although on laying down the second building in the game, the game crashes to Dosbox with the following message:

Error= Unable to spool file .\flics\HSECABIN.FLC

Does anyone know what this means and what I need to do?

Have you checked whether the mentioned file exists after the crash? Or if it exists on your original media or in your ZIP archive for the game? If neither, maybe you simply have a bad copy of the game.
