Wanted to know what the performance is like and do you have one like this?

This is 486DX-50 with intel cache controller and own intel SRAM chips.

Another same concept, but this is for Pentium. I noticed there is no memory expansion card for this board, I have no luck finding expansion memory card for these.

Idea is to track down complete set and play with one of these like this.

Alternatively, I could get Proliant 4500 boards but I'm not sure about information and finding odd memory sets would be hard part?

That's an interesting question. I've often wondered about these external cache controllers too. I suspect some of them were pretty fast for their day, but I guess they might not offer any advantage over newer boards with integral cache controllers.
As far as the i385 cache controller goes, I've heard that at least some of them were buggy.
