Waiting for one of these at the moment. I hope it’s the right part.

But in the mean time, is there anyway to boot from a hard drive with a dead rtc battery? I can’t save the primary HDD settings unfortunately but was hoping there may be a method around this I’ve not thought of.

Is the board like this one: Re: Biostar MB-8433UUD-A, his would boot but halt with dead battery. You could do surgery on the dead RTC and attach an external battery....Takes about 15mins..

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Yep I can get past that but can’t keep any settings configured to boot. You think the default would be auto.

I might have to try the mod over the weekend.

A picture of the RTC module modded with external coin battery. On this board the RTC is in such an awkward location where I have no place to put the battery holder. Hot gluing it on top of the RTC would block the ISA slot. 🤦‍♂️

The attachment rtc mod.jpg is no longer available
