Hello!

After restoration of my Acer AcerNote Light 350P notebook I am trying to find drivers for it. I remember that all drivers for DOS, Win 3.11, Win95 and WinNT was located in the ACER's FTP but for now the link ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/Archiv/notebo … ght_350P/driver is unavailable - this FTP and all mirrors like ftp://ftp.acer.nl requires username and password to access.
Maybe someone has a copy of FTP, which contains the folder with the drivers for AcerNote Light 350P, and can share all contents from this folder?

Thanks!

That's it! Thank you very much!
Now I have fully customized notebook with some upgrades and fixes:

  • Processor was replaced from 100 MHz to 133 MHz Pentium;
  • RAM was increased to max. amount 40 MB;
  • Broken Hitachi HDD was replaced with IBM DMCA-21440;
  • The CMOS battery was removed and replaced with an external CR2032 socket.

Where did you find that RAM ? 😮 Mine has a weird "short" simm ram which I can't find anywhere ...
Mine runs a pentium MMX 166 😀 (classic 120 originally). Take good care of it, mine has a plastic that have become very brittle over time and the hinges covers broke off, same with some of the monitor bezel :'(
Without the brittle plastic and if it had a TFT monitor instead of CSTN it'd probably be my favorite retro laptop.

I bought an Olivetti Echos P133E notebook for 10$ with all these parts which I listed before. But the Olivetti's plastic is also in very poor condition (same issue with monitor bezel and hinges covers) plus CMOS battery corrosion on mainboard. After some inspection I decided to move all main parts (CPU, RAM, HDD) to my Acer.

Yes, I think it's a great success to find such rare RAM modules 😀. Here is 2x16 Mb modules from NEC brand:

Is it a classic desktop CPU or it's specific mobile version of Pentium MMX?

I've put a classic desktop CPU. I found a site where someone claimed to have put a K6 in it (by drilling a hole in the CPU socket because there was one pin missing), but he also mentioned overheating problems. I think PMMX 166 is the absolute max for this laptop (it can't go lower than 2.8V too)

I know this is old and you are busy but any chance of upping ftp.support.acer-euro.com.zip.045, 46 and 47 to https://archive.org/download/ftp.support.acer … uro.com.zip.001 ?
so I can save the stuff from 001 thru 070 ?

I'm not home right now. However if you're interested I can share it by P2P instead
