Picked up this and I do have single pentium processor card in the mail to go with this motherboard and memory expansion card set. Actually made by Intel. I do not know what model this was, also could not find service manuals for these. Really much needed the information about these.

General pic of this board with processor card, memory slots is behind the processor card: Linked from one website, but I don't think the xpress name is correct for this.
http://ummr.altervista.org/images/DSCN5908.JPG

Chipsets is two XPD, XPC and S82374SB PCIset and S82375SB PCIset. Pair of Adaptec AIC7870P, a ultra Wide SCSI controller chipsets. CL-GD5424 with 1MB installed.
Makers used these same boards made by Intel: Fujitsu, NEC, NCR, even Dell.

For now till I post mine, photos I used the sellers' links that I bought: How can I put photos that I took to share here?

System board (just slots and chipsets) is 5 PCI slots, and 6 EISA slots. Two 68 pin wide SCSI ports at edge, one IDE, one floppy connectors and 34pin IDC 2.54mm front panel with one pin missing in middle.
Ports is VGA, PS/2 serial port, parallel. No USB since this board was made around 1995 or so.

NCR 530-0041043 3415 SINGLE CPU PROCESSOR BOARD PBA 641365-002 for NCR 3415.
NCR 530-0041021 3415 DUAL CPU PROCESSOR BOARD PBA 630214-102.

Bought this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/NCR-530-0041020-3415 … YkAAOSwvg9XdCtp

Can take one or two expansion memory cards, each bank takes 4 parity SIMMs at a time. Up to 3 banks, 12 SIMMs total on each card. I was careful to verify type of simms as there were several memory expansion cards with memory modules filled. These all has parity SIMMs.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/FUJITSU-625607-001-T … 872.m2749.l2649

There are 2 slots for processor card. Each processor card consists of single processor or another card with dual processors, up to 4 processors total.

Cheers,

Hmmm never been fond of cpu's on expansion cards but looks like a nice project (assuming you can find a proper case and PSU <many servers use a specialized PSU with specific connectors to the board>)
Right-click image and save or save-as, being off Ebay they will all be same named so you need to rename the image.
Being EISA and PCI it could be a challange or very easy to set up, most anything with EISA requires the config files even if you do not use EISA cards...
Here is the pics:

Thanks, much appreciated.

What I meant "upload" pictures to vogons or something like that? I couldn't see the option in the post editor?

Ok my bad. In the bottom of a Post there is a "full Editor" button left side, click on that and then an "Attachments" drop down should show on left side. Click it and it should have a "+ Add files". One thing: they are posted in opposite order, so if more than one: add the last pic first, next pic, first pic, etc. They should be less than 1MB file size and no more than 3 attachments per post (from what I was told when I first joined before the forum upgrade). Hope that helps..

What does the front panel looks like? I'm searching for a way to power this on via a power button? Couldn't find images of the server chassis images.

UPDATE!

I was able to locate correct power supply for this board. by few steps of cross searches using a defunct website for part number.

Thank you so much.

My last problem is lack of information is power. How does these xtended xpress servers is switched on? Push button or rocker switch to turn on and off? Where does the power button or switch plugs into where? The power supply does not have the power switch attached.

If it is like the NEC ProServa's it is a Push-on Push off micro switch connected to the motherboard like a Turbo button switch (sort of an early implimentation of ATX type turn on but not momentary contact)

Holy Grail is found, kinda! But service manual what I need the MOST.

PS: Power supply does have nylon 3x4 barrel pins connector mounted on the power supply casing but function unknown. The PSU does not have harness for switch and PSU voltages does not have stand by voltage. This confirms because had ohm-ed the power connectors on the motherboard's, none of 6 power connectors has power on signal except one connector, looks like a fan connector but only 2 wires used as I found the power supply pictures. 5V, 12V and 3.3V, -5V and -12V. That is it from the ebay picture of the power supply.

That 2 wires I have to ohm the motherboard to know what function are. I have feeling that one wire is ground, and purple wire is something to do with power control but not sure. The user manual stated that one of the status lights is "Power" to say computer is on.
Power button function, unknown either momentary push button or push-on push-off?

NEC ProServa PH133 is correct one that I was able to get user manual and that answered some of my questions regarding power button but no repair service manual yet. I did find service manual in google but link is broken. Anyone able to find the service manual?

User manual for NEC Proserva PH133:
https://manualsbrain.com/en/manuals/1243938/

NCR also used same one their model number is NCR type 3415. No information via google at this moment.

Fujistu did as well but no known model to help with information search.

Hope that helps others to add to this research.

Wow, oh Thank you!, that's good one. So different.

I hope the board don't freak out without the alarm board and front panel hooked up.

Photos found of the ZENITH Z-Server MX. Only difference is front bezel is slightly different but chassis is same as Intel Xtended Xpress server.

ZENITH Z-Server MX

Finally found the photos that I'm looking for to understand better. This was found after following the "The first ATX case" topic.

Short list of brands based on these basic Intel's Xtended Xpress components:

DEC Prioris ZX
HP Netserver LS (LS 1CPU, LS2 dual CPU and LS4 quad CPU).
NEC ProServa PH133
Fujitsu (don't know full model).
ZENITH Z-Server MX
NCR type 3415
Intel Xtended Xpress made these in simpler model.

Mr Slug, You are welcome, Full capacity is 768MB using 24 x 32MB FPM SIMMs across two memory risers, one bank is 4 72pin SIMMs as opposed to two on regular pentium machines. Due to early chipset, I think does not support EDO.

I'm still looking for wiring to power control the motherboard like on simple Intel Xtended Xpress chassis that is shown in recycledgoods. Does not justify purchasing about 500 total shipped from recycledgoods.

This link still there since last year, still at quantity of 2.
https://www.recycledgoods.com/ncr-ncr-3438-s- … 3438-3001-8000/

If one happens to have one, please partially disassemble the front panel and show that board with power and reset button connections?

Another way is google or ebay search is " Intel server" or include pentium server in the search string.
