Hello having a problem with: Award Winners Gold (collection of four games). For two of the games in does not need the "key disk" to run, so they work fine. But for two of them (Elite Plus and Zool) it wants the disk.

Now I HAVE the original disk, and copied it to "~/disks/awd1" .

So when dos box ran I mounted that as a floppy like so:

"mount a "/home/daniel/disks/awd1" -floppy

and also mounted by game directory.

So the program menu came up, if I try to play Elite or Zool. It still asks me to insert the key disk, what am I doing wrong? (if anything).

they might need lowlevel support
in that case you need an image if your disk and mount it with imgmount

How to ask questions the smart way!

OK, I made an image of the disk, and then did imgmount like so:

imgmount a "/home/daniel/floppyimage/aw.img" -t floppy

But I still get the same problem, when trying to run the game.

If the disk protection use low level disk routines (even undocumented ones), you may be out of luck unless you get a crack. That's illegal so don't think about asking for one here.
