Hi, I've been trying this old game on DOSBox (Mario Is Missing!), but it doesn't appear to accept anything from the keyboard. Although this is only an annoyance in the game otherwise, it also makes me unable to save...when I'm supposed to give it a name for the saved file, it doesn't accept anything from the keyboard, so I can't save it!

Let's see, I'm using DOSBox 0.65 on Mac OS 10.4.7 on an iBook G4 with 1.33Ghz and 256MB RAM. Anyone know of any way to fix this problem? On the DOSBox homepage it says that this game is supported.

Confirmed. In-game mouse is working. Keyboard isn't.

So THATS why I couldn't skip the intro, I just assumed I was doing something wrong when I tested it. 😮

They have a buggy keyboard handler, and just were lucky that it worked
with most bioses.

Attached are fixed (not completely as there was not enough space
and i didn't want to bother too much with it) files, each one with
one byte patched.

Probably a few weeks too late to say this, but thanks! Probably should put some kind of note about that on the game directory on the sourceforge dosbox site; someone else was asking about the keyboard also. Of course, I got confused at first and thought I was supposed to run the game only from what you gave me, rather than (correctly) copying the files into the actual folder to replace the faulty ones.

Only complaint I have is that I still seem unable to skip through the beginning bit, but I can save, which is more important.

Hitting space does it for me.

Yeah, you're right, it does; I just figured that out (previously I just pressed some random buttons and nothing happened, but apparently space works). I was actually coming here to mention that when I saw your message.
