My Gateway computer will not start ?
It was working but has stopped working now.
The power button use to turn green when on but now it just stays yellow.
Any Ideas ?

This is a LEX 700XL?
ETA: It's missing the FireWire port so is probably a ELP 500s
ETA2: Or a Performance 1000/1500
Is this too much voodoo?

Can you give a bit more info on the model and other specifics ? Stating "My Gateway computer will not start ?" is like saying: my Toyota (or any) car will not start, the dash used to have a green light but is now only yellow 😀
Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
I'd assume the graceful OEM PSU death.
Okay, it was the DVD drive must have had a short that was causing the computer not to turn on.

What did you do to solve it? Did you replace it or did you simply disconnect it and then try to turn it on?
Because if it's the latter it might still be the PSU.
Btw, your case doesn't have a reset switch right? Or at least mine didn't come with one.
I just replaced the DVD drive with a new one and the computer works again.
