It should be possible to modify existing ATX bench (if it is made of acrylic) by drilling additional holes and pushing (with soldering iron) heat-set brass threaded inserts into them. Modifying metal bench is also possible, but requires more tools.

If its doable to drill them yourself that could work, but best would be a flexible platform that can accept different sizes of motherboards. Been looking at

the alluminium extrusion approach is nice too, I was wanting to do that but opted to cheap out and just get those monitor stands ^^

A lot of ATX cases have removable motherboard trays. Those trays invariably have AT holes as well as ATX ones. Remove the backplate and you have an L-shaped frame that will hold both baby and full AT boards. I have a pile I use for exactly that purpose.
