I never understood why people remove the I/O cover or slot from cards. Most of the time when I buy something with it removed, it works. I personally remove them off dead cards and huck em in the e-trash bin - if you remove them yourself, can you tell me why?

Just look around for an e-waste recycler nearby.

Also prepare to get really dirty. Lots of the stuff I pull is dusty, rusty, or needs serious repair.

Bought an adaptor for Amiga, that sits between the Denise chip and the motherboard of an Amiga500 or Amiga2000. (OCS Amiga)
The magic is, that I can attach an RaspberryPI-Zero, load up some software on the SD card and have HDMI-Output on the Amiga.
Anyone interrested, I can give a link to the Github page, were there is an mail address for the maker of the adaptor.
There are an Super-Denise version as well.

I will post pictures, once I have it all bought, installed and working.

EDIT:
The original product/solution, is an external scandoubler/upscaler-kind-of-thing'y, for MULTIPLE COMPUTERSYSTEMS/CONSOLES. 😜
And probably the most cheap one that delivers a solid result for the price. No more cheap solutions from China.

Part One:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lnaI7TY0qQ

Part Two:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGO3N1ThHFA

But the adaptor I bought is an internal solution.... I like internal Amiga upgrades over external ones.
(And no, I am not the one in those two videoes, just the only in dept video's that I have found)

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.

Went to see my e-waste guy today.

-PCChips M919 v3.4B/F

I haven't tested anything yet, but everything looks like its in great condition.
Both of those motherboards take a propietary cache card. I was kinda confused when I first saw them. Luckily my e-waste guy handed me one of those cache cards. Interestingly the Rhino 6 seems to accept both styles of L2 cache.

The M919 is exactly what I wanted in a Socket 3 board; VLB, PCI, coin battery, EDO ram, I/O ports, etc. I hope it works.

That's an incredible selection! Lucky find 😁
Be aware though, the M919 needs a specific cache module that says "FOR 486 M919 USE ONLY" on the back. There's also 2 versions of that cache module for 3.3v (M919-01S3) or 5v (M919-02S5) CPU / operation. So use it without L2 cache for now. Someone made a PCB for new cache sticks here. I found 2 of them in a junk lot of while back - and I've already got a known good one in my M919, so I should really put those 2 up for sale 😀

Here you go sir... 😀 😀 The Github page....

EDIT:
I found this line of text on the page, that answers one of my questions that I have been wondering about.

Because the adapter board contains a configuration selector, the Amiga profile is already preselected and can be used directly.

This ultra-cute 386SX system, with cute 9" monitor and some additional stuff. Needs some repairs as the pins in the PSU socket are broken. Perhaps needs new PSU too. Shouldn't be too much of a problem. I bought it mostly for the ST351A/X XTA compatible HDD which seem to be hard to find nowadays.

The only test that I can do, is to explain how I experience it side by side with my CRT television that can take RGB signal through the Scart port.
However, I will explain it on a blog-post that I am planning to write about this adaptor. Personally I do not have any tools that can do a real in dept lag-test.

EDIT:
I did however watch the youtube clips about the universal and external version. There is some side-by-side recordings of Tandy games, CRT and LCD side-by-side. I just forgot about it, because I watched the two videoes last night at 3am.

Yeah I haven' been able to completely identify the module that I have. It fits in the slot, that's all I know.

Hi everyone,

It seems that a lot of nice "treasures" are being found and rescued by fellow vogoners.

This week I manage to find some treasures of my one.

A nice Sound Blaster AWE 64 Gold, @ 75€ including shipping (this cards are getting stupidly expensive 😒 )

And at last a big box copy of "TOCA Turing Car Championship" @ 8€, but what made me jump to it was the claim to use almost all accelerators under the sun:

With those 4 chips, that should be a 512KB pipeline burst COAST, nice for that socket 7 board.
