First post, first problem.

I run a 64-bit AMD Athon 64 3700+ (2.21 GHz) that has 1GB of RAM to waste.

I also have DOSBox 0.63 and recently downloaded Elder Scholls: Arena that was running smoothly for past few weeks.

However, now, upon any of my attempts to attack anything in-game (waving the mose with right-click holding) the DOSBox decides to tell me that I either have "Illegal call 7" or "Illegal option", then it closes leaving me clueless.

My mouse is Kensigton PilotMouse with a wire. I didn't update the drivers yet.
I also used some tips give on the TES:Arena on DOSBox website (Cpu dynamic and all that good stuff). TES:Area I got from the official website link and DOSBox I got from its website.

I searched the forums but I didn't find anyone with my specific problem.

PS: This happens in the first city on the 4-5th day when I wander around in the morning (5AM) and something attacks me. I recently gave away my sword for repairs and thusly I fight with hands (just for fun). I also got tons of saves and stuff.

Dunno what else to add, I think it's a bug, but maybe should've used some other forum.

And that didn't quite work well.
Now it just freezes.

Argh.

I get the same error message 'Exit to error: CPU:GRP5:Illegal Call 7'
I've got about 2/3 through the game but can't get any further due to this error. Can anyone help?
I've tried some different versions, but all have the same problem.

My processor is an AMD dual core 2.4GHz processor.
I've tried running under XP, but always get the error not enough EMS memory even though i've created a pif file allocating EMS.

Try with loadfix, disable sound, lower the memory/raise it,
boot some real dos inside dosbox and test it there etc.

I've got arena working in MS Virtual PC and it locks up at the same point which is obviously why dosbox crashes.

Can you exclude that it's a corrupt savegame or a game bug?

Problem turned out to be a game bug. If i change my weapon before fighting everything carries on fine. After that i can change my weapon back to the original and it still works. Not sure why, but at least i can carry on.
