I am trying to run the old (1994) DOS "Rythmaticity" rhythm- training program on dosbox on Debian-386 (2.6 kernel of etch). The sound works but the dancing ball on each note of the test music display will not advance to the next note for each key press. It does move to the next note after an unknown expiration of time on that note and it then gives the correct tone for that note.
The metroname sounds and timing is correct.
I tried the following changes of dosbox configuration using the special keys of dosbox:
Mem 16 mb to 32 mb
CTRL-ALT-F5 start/stop creating a movie on the screen
CTRL-F7 decrease frameskip CTRL-F8 increase frame skip
CTRL-F11 slow the emulation
CTRL-F12 speed up emulation Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and click performance tab then press CTRL+F12 until usage is aboce 95%
ALT-F12 turbo
Has anyone suggestions that might make the dancing ball to skip to the next note?
