I have a problem in ms dos 6.22 with music CDs containing audio CD tracks and games using the audio CD tracks as background music. When I configure virtual CD-ROM drives in the autoexec.bat I no longer have background music on games that use audio CD tracks and I can no longer play music CDs. If I remove the virtual CD-ROM drives from the autoexec.bat again, the games with audio CD tracks will have background music again and I will be able to play music CDs that contain audio CD tracks again. I play the Carmageddon and Tomb raider games with the original CDs in the CD-ROM drive. Is there a way to use virtual CD-ROM drives and play music CDs with audio CD tracks and games with audio CD tracks as background music in the real CD-ROM player?

SHSUCDHD and SHSUCDX I use this to make a vertical cdrom drives.

It will be much easier to help you if you try to pay a little more attention to your grammar and spelling.

It is generally impossible to play redbook audio from a virtual CD-ROM in DOS. You need to at least be running Windows 9x with Daemon Tools or a similar program in order to do that.

Someday there may be an affordable hardware solution that will solve this problem, but today is not that day.
