Also in the shader I did attempt to try to mimic the feedback/bleed in your VGA captures 😜 though it may be too exaggerated...

The composite mode blur I don't think is captureable losslessly without needing some kind of dev box to dump the PVR2 buffer or so. I had to use old .TIF/.BMP press release screenshots as a reference for that.

I should still look into the bilinear filter which shouldn't be precise. On top of that, there's a bit for "supersampling" which seems to be a buzzword for more precise bilinear (more like geforce probably)

I should probably post some shots of that current filter. A couple of these shots have a NTSC shader over them to demonstrate how this could be mistaken as 'anti-aliasing' on a TV.

It also should be noted that not every DC game enables the dithering!!! Soul Calibur turns it off, so being part of an internal shader for an emulator makes this better to control. Visual Concepts games like NBA2K etc allegedly don't dither either, but i don't have any of those. xjas's Armada VGA capture also shows a lack of dither, so that's something I've got to try (when Flycast's MMU/WinCE emulation works enough to start it)

So uhh yeah guess who bought it when it came up the second time 😀

Thanks. PowerVR is the focus of my collection, underated imho but shame about the few and rare releases.

After over a year I gave up on the search for this, only to discover it recently by accident so you never know.

About the price of a new game on steam 😉

I'm not sure what to do about it yet but I will definately need to preserve it, it's the only known copy worldwide as far as I can tell.

Taking some photos of my PowerVR stuff atm.

Sorry to give this info to you, but I know atleast about 3 other copies that exist, including the one I own.

Wow nice, that's okay it takes the responsibility away. Boxed or jewell case?

Anyway I really appreciate the API list and videos you did!

Not considering YARRR dump should be more or less everywhere by now.

D0es your Graphics Driver allow disabling/enabling hardware cursor ?
As you wrote on dosreloaded you use ATI Card, which supports HW Cursor.
Maybe this is the problem ?

did not have that issue on win95b with dx61...but I think the problem is with ps/2 rate that I did not use on the previous installation.
perhaps I use another mousedriver like ms-mouse or logitech. (i do not use ps2/rate anymore but that did not solve it)

Hi there, I figured it out but stuck on another serious issue that I actually can't fix.
Changing from ATI-2560 to ATI-2440 does fix the mousepointer issue in PowerVR Quake1/Hexen2.

The PowerVR PCX1 destroys the sound on Games that use D3D via PowerVR.

It's not about the soundcard, it's drivers, regardless what soundcard or soundcard-driver I use, it stays all the same.
I tested different DirectX versions, but it's all the same.

e.g. JediKnight/JediKnight MOS, Hellbender. After a short time the sound is gone, stutters and then disappears.

If I choose the ATI for D3D it's also not working after I ran into the issue with the PCX1 before, so I have to do a restart
und then choose ATI for D3D and the sound is ok. Changing back D3D to PCX1 and the errors are back.

My conclusion is, that the PCX1 "writes" an error in the "PCI-Bus" that causes this issue when using the PCX1 for displaying for D3D.
I changed the PCX1 driver, but that does not solve this issue. I have to check if the PCX2 behaves the same.

I am giving up, I cannot fix this. the only way of getting rid of it is installing win98se installing all drivers and use dxdiag and disable direct-sound. then it seems to be ok, but this can't be the solution.
