Here's my problem:
1. Motherboard: PowerPC G4
2. Processor type and speed: 1.2 GHz PowerPC G4
3. Amount and type of RAM: 1.25 GM DDR SDRAM
4. Video board w/ RAM amount and type: not sure?
5. Sound board: Texas Instruments TAS3004
6. Operating system: Mac OS X 10.4.8
7. Game name: The Space Quest Collection (includes Space Quests I-V)
8. Description of problem: When I run the install program from the cd-rom, I get the menu for installing the various games, each of which has a letter corresponding to it. So, like, for SQ1 EGA, I'm supposed to hit "A" to install it. For SQ1 VGA, I'm to hit "B," and so on. If I press A, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, J, nothing happens. If I press E, I get a message that says:
eOut of environment space
Installing Space Quest 1 EGA
If I hit any other keys after that, the instructions for installing SQ1 EGA come up. So, essentially, the only game I can install is SQ1 EGA. The installation works fine and the game plays fine, but I want to play the other games now!
9. Reproducibility of problem: always
10. Sound mode used: sb16
11. Video mode: where do I find this?
12. Version of emulator: DOSBox 0.63
13. Steps already attempted to solve the problem: Lowered cycles in config file, raised cycles in config file, increased frameskip, disabled xms, disabled both xms and ems, increased memsize
