I scored a screaming deal on this Radeon AIW 9800. It was packaged very well but somehow got damaged in shipping (ebay listing had clear pictures showing it working and no damage). Is this repairable or even worth saving?

Really, that's just basic soldering. I'm a total amateur with electronics and I'm confident I could replace those parts. Of course you'll need basic soldering skills and a soldering iron (plus some solder wick, solder and flux) or it'll be impossible but that seems that's besides the point, doesn't it?😉

Actually I would try to fix the inductor versus finding a new one (which could be impossible), it seems to be just broke off the base and core+coils appear fine. After that replace the Cap and should be good.

One option, if that inductor is worse off than it looks, is to get one from a cheap defective/"for parts" card .
