Finally getting around to building a Win98SE machine for some of my old games and such. Here's what I'm using in it:
- Asus TUSL2-C motherboard
- Intel PIII 1400 SL5XL Tualatin
- 2 x 256MB, PC133U, 333
- GeForce FX5500 AGP
- Sound Blaster Live PCI
- Kingston 10/100 NIC
- Optical: HP CDRW, 3.5" floppy
- (Modern) Corsair 100R ATX case
- 64GB Compact Flash card with IDE adapter
Power Supply: I had a NOS Antec SL300S, but it seems to be pretty dead when I tested it (not plugged into anything except an outlet, turned switch on and fan didn't even come on). Was wondering if I needed some type of 'load' on it, but I don't want to hook it to the motherboard in case something's wrong with it.
With that said, are there any modern power supplies that would work best for this setup? I don't want to break the bank as most of this stuff I've had since new and I'm trying to keep it "budget", but if there's a particular one that I need I'm willing to spend.
Edit:
Is there a good place to buy a motherboard I/O back plate or is that a lost cause with this case and board combo?
