Hi I recemtly bought a mint copy of Primal Rage CD ROM from 1994 however I fail to get the game to launch + setup the gamesound, only installing is no problem.

When I setup sound, the menu flashes once and then restarts itself back to main setup...really strange. When I try andf launch the game, I get an error.

I type in rage.exe and get this in return:
prage.exe -f
Illigal command: prage.exe.

the game runs fine for me, but i only have a cd-rip version...
if the sound setup is not starting through the installer, use the setsound.exe instead.

imo i think you dont need the " -f " command if you have a original copy of PR. simply run the prage.exe file from the game folder and it should start.

Now I know the problem! 😎
The install program does not install all the files, only 2 files, both using small and full install. I then tried installing the game directly in WinXP, it worked, installed all the files so I moved it into dosbox and now it runs just fine. There seem to be an error in dosbox in the way that the install program works from installing of the CD.
