I'm trying to set up triple boot and the way I'm trying to do it requires me to unplug drives as I'm installing different operating systems on them so they don't try adding each other to each others boot menus or messing with each other's boot sectors. but when I change the drive order by plugging the drives all back in it's breaking windows ME boot. it says bootmgr missing when I try to boot to that drive I'm thinking that now that the other drives are plugged in the boot files are pointing to the wrong drive. so I think what I need to do is edit the boot files to point to the correct drive again? I tried opening msdos.sys and changing those to D and then to E but no effect what am I missing?
my boot manager will be plop on the boot sector of the first drive so each of these drives kinda have to be bootable on their own
