I installed a DVD+RW burner in Windows NT4, it can read CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R DL but not DVD+RW. Is reading supported media dependent on OS too?
Can I install a SATA Bluray Burner using IDE SATA adapter to read Blurays and DVD+RW in vintage OS like Windows NT4, 95/98SE?

Try installing IsoBuster in NT4 and see if you can read the discs that way.

I expect the problem has to do with the lack of UDF support. You will likely find that while NT4 can read DVD-R discs, it will only read the first session of multisession DVD-R discs.

If the problem is UDF support, then in theory there are programs you can run in the background to provide UDF support, but those were principally written to deal with "packet-written" CD-RW discs and I don't know how well they would work with anything else, especially in NT4. See for instance https://nt4ref.zcm.com.au/optical.htm .

Thanks for the tip. Burning in ISO mode fixes it. I assume BD-R ISO mode can be read too then.
