Hello fellow Vogons,
I have came across a nice little 486 SX 33mhz with 8 MB ram and 162 MB HDD.
It has a Sound blaster 16 and a LAN card. I am thinking to use it for old DOS games.
I have already did a DALLAS chip hack to use CR2032. And it is a pretty nice machine. Maybe needs more RAM
Anyway I found a strange socket near the main CPU (soldered on) FoxConn Socket 2
What is it for ? Is it a math coprocessor ?
Or can I upgrade the CPU on this PC ? If I insert for example 486DX2 , will the soldered one stop working ?
Or does this socket serves some other purpose ?
Thank you for any info you can provide.
Kind regards
Stichas
