I don't see anywhere in the 5400 review where it mentions that you can connect a pure3dII to it, or that it has the witchdoctor feature.
Inspecting the pictures, the witchdoctor "reverse pass through" din connector isn't present on the 5400. Witchdoctor actually allows any voodoo to be connected to the video card via a cable and the video out to be connected to the main video card (instead of the other way around) resulting in improved signal quality.
This is different still from the internal pass 14 pin passthrough, which only works with the pure3dII. Another significant difference between the two models is that the 2500 has male and female 14 pin connectors and the 5400 only has a male 14 pin connector.
I'd be happy if it was the case that you could use the 14 pin header for the pure3dII though, as canopus cards that use a more recent chipset than the tnt2 have this also.
