Good evening folks,
I have a question for you Socket 7 fans - I had a 233 MMX in my teens, and I rather liked it. I always got good prices on hardware as I worked in a computer store, so there was no incentive to shop around or get anything other than Intel (Except 386s, those 40 MHz AMD units were the bomb) but I have been spending a lot of time lately reading the Red Hill website and so I dug into my seldomly used Socket 7 pile and dug out these:

My Socket 7 already has a 233 MMX in it, and it works just fine. I mostly use it for playing HOMM 2 and sometimes Civ 2. The other contenders are the AMD K6 266AR (which I understand runs at the same bus speed as the MMX) and beside it, looks like a lightly cooked 6X86MX PR333 (83 MHz FSB version). Last time I was inside my 233, I know the mainboard supports that speed.
I also have a very good cooling system in the rig now, so cooling the Cyrix shouldn't be an issue at all.
Pros and cons of each one?
