I find myself making a Windows 7 machine practically weekly which means that I'm downloading all of the updates for it practically weekly. My Windows 7 install USB stick has a few update packages on it, which kick start the built-in Windows update tool (otherwise it won't find any updates). But I and wondering if there is a solution that will let me download all of the Windows 7 updates once as a zip file or stand-alone installer so I don't have to wait for it to download every week.

Any ideas?

When I upgraded my Vista to Win7 last year, I used an August 2018 Win7 image from Heidoc.net:

Still had to do the manual updates to fix WU, and then complete the rest of the updates up until January 2020.

I don't know if they still have that ISO available still.

For something newer, look for Generation2's torrents, which integrate monthly rollup patches. You won't get links to them here, because they do contain piracy-enabling software, such as activators, but last time I checked - there was always an option to do a clean install without activation, and supply your own license.

If you just want to build an offline database of patches, you can use WSUS offline updater (weedeewee added the link below while I edited). 😀

Forgot to mention, Download an earlier version if the latest version doesn't support the W7 downloads anymore.

I found this earlier this year when I added the first Win7 PC to my gaming fleet and windows wasn't updating automatedly.
I think the autoupdate is due to needing a hotfix or 2, something this includes but then windows updates goes and re downloads all the updates again. It's as if it doesn't detect the ones applied by wsusoffline?
Bit annoying but doesn't seem to break anything. I grabbed both the x32 and x64 versions just in case.
