Hi guys,
Had a look on the forum and checked out SierraHelp.com but could not find a reference to choppy audio problems with Space Quest VI and a SoundBlaster Pro. Anyone know if there are patches for this or an updated .drv file?

Thanks,

What video card? What chipset does it have? Is it ISA, VLB, or PCI?

What brand/model motherboard?

Hi,
Video card: ISA Cirrus Logic GD-5426 with video bios (CL-GD5428 VGA bios 1.41), Chip revision from InqDesign Revision 1, VESA Version 1.2.
Motherboard is a clone not sure the brand or model number.
Regards,

Seems to happen in LSL7 as well. Maybe its a driver issue with the SBpro2 ?

See this thread. The common factor between these systems seems to be a Cirrus Logic VLB video card:
Crackling sound with several sound cards on 486 VLB motherboard.

I'll have to do some testing of my own when I get a chance.

Hi. It seems to resolve the issues running UniVBE.exe v5.3a before starting the game.
